Technician Development Academy (TDA)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Join the Ohio CAT Technician Development Academy at Ohio CAT Equipment locations and you will learn to become a CAT Technician through 400 hours of instructor-led training over 5 modules, all at no expense to you.

  • 11-week classroom (Ohio CAT Columbus location) and on-the-job training
  • 400 hours of instructor-led training, covering 10 modules
  • Full-time employment: $25.00 per hour paycheck and benefits!
  • Gain Caterpillar knowledge and training necessary to become a CAT Dealer Technician
  • $6,500 tool set (including toolbox) received upon graduation

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

The TDA Intern will acquire knowledge of:

  • Check MarkAccurately completing service reports
  • Check MarkBasic wiring and hydraulic schematics
  • Check MarkTheories and applications of electrical and electronic systems
  • Check MarkUse of Service Information System (SIS)
  • Check MarkDiesel engine theory and repair
