The Professional Development Trainer will create and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions for adult learners, including new hire orientation, professional development workshops, leadership development sessions, and eLearning courses. This role involves training employees at various levels across different divisions and departments within the organization. The Professional Development Trainer will act as a brand ambassador for Ohio Machinery Co., support other trainers, and assist with in-service training. This individual will maintain open and direct communication with all staff levels regarding training needs and collaborate with the Director of Development to identify and utilize key metrics for improving course offerings. Responsibilities include leading both in-person and virtual training sessions using Webex, Zoom, and Teams, developing and managing eLearning content, and updating the learning management system with relevant data. Travel to locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Texas is required.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience creating content Articulate 360
- Professional experience in delivering corporate training, with a basic understanding of Human Resources/People Operations and comprehensive knowledge of organizational learning and development to support business priorities.

- Proven ability to incorporate key behaviors such as effective listening, development, credibility, building trust, and demonstrating reliability into daily efforts.
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to quickly assess and summarize information, identify issues, and provide solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of speaking effectively to large and small groups, engaging in interpersonal conversations, and reporting to management.
- Friendly, clear, and strong writer and speaker, able to engage and interact well with employees at all levels and tailor training delivery to the audience.
- Experience in developing and managing eLearning content and platforms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
