• Troubleshoot, test, and diagnose electrical power generators.
• Safely perform machine repairs.
• Inspect, repair, maintain, overhaul, and rebuild engines and power generator components.
  

What We’re Looking For:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of level 2 training program, OR
• Three or more years of experience with electrical power generator service and repair (5kw to 2mg), preferably with Caterpillar equipment, OR
• Graduation from an accredited technical school (minimum two-year program) with an emphasis on power generator equipment.

Skills and Competencies:

• Thorough understanding of equipment and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Strong technical service skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with power generation equipment and strong knowledge of DC electrical and machine electronic systems.
• Ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures for repairs and manufacturers’ updates.
• Ability to work in a low-supervised environment and take direction from multiple supervisors.
• Effective communication skills with customers, supervision, and dispatchers, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills.
