JOB SUMMARY:
The Inside Product Support Sales Representative will primarily contact Ohio CAT customers by telephone within an established geographic territory, aiming to increase parts and service sales and build consultative relationships with those customers to enhance overall sales to users, market share, and improve the Customer Experience with Ohio CAT. The standard will be to contact those customers at least four times a year; however, customers with greater potential will be contacted more frequently. The Inside Sales Representative will be assigned to and manage an account base of approximately 250 established customers, including all market segments served by the Heavy Equipment and Industrial Engine Divisions. In addition to making outgoing sales calls to customers, the Inside Sales Representative will also receive inbound calls from customers as relationships are built. They will be the primary point of contact for the customer and a conduit for all information relevant to dealer parts, maintenance supplies, and services. Other job duties include preparing and presenting quotes for parts and estimates for equipment repairs, visual inspections of equipment, and promoting sales campaigns and all aspects of the dealer’s offerings. There is potential for some travel to and from customer sites, if necessary, but most of the time spent by the Inside Sales Rep will be in an office setting at the Perrysburg, OH location.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Prior industry knowledge of the products, along with a technical background of the products sold and serviced.
- Telephone sales experience desired.
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Software is desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
