JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing and/or overseeing building and grounds maintenance activities at Corporate Campus facilities in Broadview Heights and Oakwood Village, as well as overseeing and supporting regional maintenance technicians throughout Ohio, ensuring that all systems and infrastructure are in optimal working condition.  Reporting to the Facilities Director, this role involves developing and managing an internal maintenance team, performing hands-on maintenance tasks as needed, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing outside contractors and service contracts to ensure that all third-party services meet operational needs and company standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial management, or another related field.
  • Prefer related certifications such as OSHA, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, maintenance, or building management, and prefer experience with lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Must have proven experience of 10 or more years in maintenance management including team leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, HVAC, and facility systems.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management software (CMMS) and tools.
  • Experience and knowledge using building automation systems (lighting, HVAC, etc.).
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

KEYCOMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Civil, and MEP building/site drawings (blueprints).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously across various locations and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
  • Experience managing external contractors and service contracts.
  • Experience with systems and equipment maintenance in corporate office, industrial/manufacturing, and vehicle/equipment service shop settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between multiple facilities in the region.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, move occasionally, and sit for an extended period throughout their scheduled working time. The employee will be required to operate office equipment that requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard and may also be exposed to various hazards that are typical in manufacturing and facilities maintenance, requiring adherence to safety protocols. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift, push, carry, move, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, and regular verbal communication to exchange information is necessary. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. The employee may be required to work out of regular working hours on weekends and evenings to accommodate operational needs, and travel will be required to multiple facilities within a designated region.
