JOB SUMMARY:

The Parts Specialist Counter will work closely with technicians and customers on all parts needs. This individual will take care of parts orders, which can be completed in person, over the phone, or on the computer. In addition, the Parts Specialist Counter will maintain the branch’s parts inventory levels and order stock from other branches as needed. As needed, this position will assist in the warehouse in picking and packing parts orders, making hoses, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and deliveries.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have one or more years of warehouse and inventory experience, some of which should be in a mechanical parts environment, preferably with knowledge and experience of CAT heavy equipment and diesel engine parts.

KEYCOMPETENCIES:

• A highly motivated individual is a must.
• Strong communication skills necessary, both verbal and written.
• Must have good customer interaction abilities and be able to provide great customer service.
• Ideal candidate should possess good computer skills including Microsoft applications.
• Must have a strong attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting/Carrying 40 lbs.; Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling; Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines; Dexterity Normal; Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers; The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
