This role’s main objective is to support the goals of the recruiting and development teams while interacting directly with internal and external clients, employees, and candidates. This is a highly visible position that requires top-notch communication and organizational skills. The candidate selected for the role needs to grow and develop the role, applying their professional skills to contribute within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Focuses on the candidate and hiring manager experience and creates memorable interactions.
- Assists with the onboarding process for new hires including offer letter generation.
- Processes and verifies onboarding information/paperwork (including I9) consistently and is compliant with Ohio Machinery procedures.
- Schedules, coordinates interviews and backs up the receptionist.
- Conduct background checks and order drug tests and other pre-employment requirements for all candidates.
- Produces specified reporting information in a timely, compliant manner that meets applicable deadlines.
- Assists with maintaining job postings and, time permitting, reviewing online applications.
- Inputs data and information into ATS and HRIS tools for tracking and reporting purposes
- Maintains training records.
- Responds as the first point of contact for high-volume emails and calls to the recruiting or development department; direct inquiries to the appropriate team member and handle outbound correspondence when necessary.
- Manages interview and new hire schedules for key roles and ensures confirmation emails have been sent.
- Completes additional projects as needed and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- Impeccable attention to detail and process mindset.
- Interest in innovation and solutions-oriented approach to daily tasks as well as projects; willingness to adapt to change.
- Capable of learning how to utilize different computer programs including Microsoft 356 applications, applicant tracking systems and learning management systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively navigate different types of relationships.
- High energy level with a positive outlook, sense of urgency, and an interest in supporting team camaraderie.
- 4-year degree preferred.
- Relevant professional experience preferred.
- Staffing or recruiting experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; Standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time may be required, and operating office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; Verbal communication to exchange information; Occasionally, need to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist, as well as lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
