JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks at multiple facilities within a designated geographic area. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role includes conducting routine and emergency maintenance on building and grounds equipment, systems, and infrastructure, as well as providing support to Regional Facilities Managers as needed across all assigned sites. The Regional Maintenance Technician ensures the efficient operation of all facilities by performing or overseeing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with contractors as needed. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A technical or trade school certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a maintenance technician or similar role, with hands-on experience not limited to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems is required.
  • Must have basic knowledge of building systems and facility maintenance (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety systems).
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and maintenance management software (CMMS) is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between multiple facilities in the region.
  • Certification in specific maintenance trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and the ability to manage work orders effectively is required.
  • Should have familiarity with safety standards and regulations in an industrial or commercial facility setting and experience in managing or coordinating third-party contractors.

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, move occasionally, and sit for an extended period throughout their scheduled working time or climb ladders, work in confined spaces, or work on roofs. The employee will be required to operate office equipment that requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard and may also be exposed to various environments, including industrial settings, requiring adherence to safety protocols. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift, push, carry, move, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, and regular verbal communication to exchange information is necessary. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. The employee may be required to work out of regular working hours on weekends and evenings to accommodate any facility needs or emergencies, and travel will be required to multiple facilities within a designated region.
