What You’ll Do:
At Owens:
- Complete the Caterpillar curriculum at Owens Community College.
- Maintain a strong GPA and graduate successfully.
- Represent Ohio CAT professionally on campus.
In the Shop:
- Train under experienced mentors.
- Perform real-world diesel repair and maintenance tasks.
- Progress to more advanced assignments over time.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required before program start).
- Basic diesel knowledge or mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use necessary equipment.
- Comfortable using computers and diagnostic tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift/carry up to 40 lbs; pull up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, sit, climb stairs, and enter/exit machinery.
- Frequent hand/wrist/finger movement.
- Work environments range from quiet offices to loud shop environments.
